What is Header Bidding?
Header bidding is an advanced programmatic technique where publishers offer inventory to multiple ad exchanges simultaneously before making calls to their ad servers.
The primary benefit for publishers is increased yield by creating more competition for their inventory. For advertisers, header bidding offers access to premium inventory that might otherwise be unavailable.
How This Demo Works
This demo implements a complete header bidding solution with:
- Publisher Page: This HTML page you're viewing (publisher.prebid-demo.holodeck.work)
- Prebid.js: The header bidding wrapper library
- Mock Bidders: Simulated DSPs that place bids on ad inventory (dsp-1.prebid-demo.holodeck.work, dsp-2.prebid-demo.holodeck.work)
- Mock Ad Servers: Simulated SSPs that decide which ad to show (adserver.prebid-demo.holodeck.work, ssp-1.prebid-demo.holodeck.work, ssp-2.prebid-demo.holodeck.work)
The entire auction process happens client-side with all components loaded from their respective domains.
